RMS251
Overview
The RMS251 is our recreation of the famous ELAM 251. We chose to model our version based off of the original ELAM 251, not the Export or "E" edition for sale into US markets. We started with our new multi-chambered CK12 capsule, which is the same capsule we use in our RMS12 & RMS12a, then a custom AMI output transformer paired perfectly with the JAN 5703 vacuum tube, which is also the same tube in our RMS269. We believe this tube has the closest sonics to the original Telefunken AC701. Finally, we use our standard RMS PS1 to power this creation all connected with Mogami tube cable.

At RMS Audioworks, we believe that great sound should be accessible to everyone. That's why we are offering our RMS251 at an extremely affordable price point in the marketplace. Every single component in the RMS251 is hand selected, from our precision metal and carbon film resistors to the wet tantalum output capacitor. We also use a historically correct polarity switching pattern on the mic just like the original design. This mic simply sounds incredible.
